Former Residence of the French Consulate Premises

Located at No.319 Yueyang Road, it was built in 1928 with investment from French Far East Land Trust Company. It is the garden residence of the English country architectural style with a fake-three-floor brick-and-wood structure. The facade has an asymmetrical vertical three-section layout. The middle is a pediment. The entrance is on the left of the first floor. The porch is supported by Doric columns. The roofs are gable slope. Of the two wings, the left is high and the right is low. The third floor has a terrace equipped with vase-shaped railings. During the early years of the PRC, the building was taken over by PLA Academy of Military Medical Sciences. After 1956, CAS Shanghai Branch was located here. It is now used by CAS. The Former Residence of French Consulate was announced by Shanghai Municipal People's Government as Shanghai Municipality Outstanding Heritage Architecture on October 31, 2005, and announced by Xuhui District People's Government as Cultural Relic Preservation Unit of Xuhui District on December 4, 2008.
